Who is A Baby Visit?
A Baby Visit is a corporation of professional electrical engineers and medical professionals who ensure that the highest of industry standards in the ultrasound business are put into place. We maintain the GE 730 Voluson Expert ultrasound machine to get the highest quality images of your baby. Our equipment maintains hospital safety standards and we strictly adhere to FDA and HIPPA regulations. When you come to A Baby Visit you know that you are coming to a clean, safe and sanitized environment.

A Baby Visit is a corporation of professional electrical engineers and medical professionals who ensure that the highest of industry standards in the ultrasound business are put into place. A Baby Visit is the largest ultrasound theater in the United States?
That is correct not only do we maintain the highest level of safety we also have the largest 4D ultrasound theater in the United States. Our facility consists of unlimited stage seating for guests, floor-to-ceiling viewing screens and a playroom for children (San Diego location only). Children can freely go between the ultrasound room and the playroom for parents peace of mind.
What if I do not want other family members ir my guests to see my belly?
No problem ,we offer a privacy screen. Just mention that you would like the screen at the time of booking or when you come in and we will have it put in place for you.
Is 3d 4D ultrasound safe for my baby and I?
3D and 4D ultrasound use the same frequency that your doctor uses in the normal 2D ultrasound. Ultrasounds have been used for over 30 years and there have been no proven side effects from its proper use.
Is this a medical ultrasound? Is it covered under my insurance?
No, this is an elective procedure and it is not covered by your insurance. In no way does this ultrasound take the place of your medical ultrasound or care from your physician. This ultrasound is to visit with your baby and is for fun only.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, cash and Paypal.
Who may join me in my Baby Visit?
You are welcome to bring as many friends and family as you would like to share these precious moments with you. As for the children they will enjoy our playroom(San Diego location only) where you can enjoy your baby visit and have the children in the same area for peace of mind.
When is the best time to see the facial features?
A Baby Visit recommends between 27 weeks to 35 weeks for a single baby.
Are you able to determine the baby’s gender?
Yes, as early as 14 weeks(if you request it). We can not guarantee that the baby will cooperate during your session. Certain factors such as body tissue, developmental stage and fetal position all affect the ability to determine sex. We offer you to come back for FREE if gender is not determined in the firstr session.
Do I need a note from my doctor?
A Baby Visit requires that all A Baby Visit clients must be under the active care of a physician or midwife and that the provider is aware of your elective ultrasound session.
What is the difference between 2D, 3D and 4D?
2D ultrasound is the usual black and white image used for diagnostic scans in your doctor’s office. 3D accumulates multiple 2D to form and puts them together to form a realistic volume with depth and texture of the baby. 4D shows the 3D image in motion.
Is it expensive?
You might find it surprisingly affordable. We have packages that fit just about anyone. At A Baby Visit we try to make such a beautiful lifetime memory affordable enough for you not to miss it.
Things to know about ultrasound.
A Baby Visit is extremely confident in 3D 4D imaging we know how to account for many factors that may yield bad results if you go to other facilities. Things to keep in mind when you go to get a 3D 4D ultrasound are the following:
Keep yourself hydrated during pregnancy
Position of your placenta
Position of baby
Body tissue
All of the above can alter sound waves therefor alter the outcome of the 3D 4D images. We are able work with all types of conditions. Expect A Baby Visit to yield the best result given date and time of your ultrasound. Please note that clarity will be affected under certain conditions. Also because every pregnancy has different conditions such as placental location, fluid level, baby position etc each ultrasound is unique in outcome.
